For those who love the outdoors, there are picnics, bike rides and bocce ball games in Piedmont Park; hikes at Stone Mountain; afternoons at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where climate-controlled indoor habitats mean you can visit the tropics or desert all year round; or bike rides along the BeltLine, a former railway corridor turned pedestrian path and greenway.

For sports fans, we have the Falcons (NFL) at the Georgia Dome, the Braves (MLB) at Turner Field, and the Hawks (NBA) at Philips Arena. Atlanta is also home to a number of outstanding golf courses.
